The three-story brick dormitory was named in honor of Miss Jessie A Sayers who was a member of the original faculty of Southwest Texas State Normal School as the university was first named. These two halls share a community building that contains classrooms lobby and lounge areas a full-size community kitchen and more.
Falls Hall is a female student hall while Sayers Hall is a co-ed student hall.

She has a Bachelor of Arts from Pittsburg State University in Kansas and a Master of Science in College Student Personnel Services and Administration from the University of Central Arkansas.
